Hobaugh to Head SanAir’s Industrial Chemistry Lab

RICHMOND, VA -- Stephanie A. Hobaugh has joined SanAir Technologies Laboratory as industrial chemistry laboratory manager, effective immediately.

Before joining SanAir, Hobaugh was with Tredegar Film Products in Richmond and before that Pliant Corp. and Carpenter Co. She is an alumna of Old Dominion University where she earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude in chemistry followed by a master’s degree in analytical chemistry.

“We are delighted to welcome Stephanie to SanAir,” said company president and CEO Sean McGlynn. “She brings a wealth of experience and professionalism in all areas of managing a complex and time-critical laboratory. She complements our existing team well, as our nearly 10-year-old firm expands its national industrial hygiene testing program.”

At SanAir, Hobaugh is responsible for industrial hygiene laboratory management, analytical instrumentation, regulatory oversight and personal training and development.

SanAir is based in Oakbridge Industrial Park in Powhatan County, Virginia near the new Watkins Center development, a major component in the Richmond region’s rapid multi-use business growth. The firm recently received accreditation by the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s accreditation for lead testing and has grown to be a full-service national laboratory offering analytical and consulting services specialized in asbestos, bacterial detection and identification, environmental microbiology, Legionella, and materials testing.
