WASHINGTON -- Medgate Inc., a provider of software for health and safety data management, has annoucned that Dr. L. Casey Chosewood, senior medical officer for Total Worker Health Programs at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, will be the keynote speaker at its annual conference.

As Senior Medical Officer for Total Worker Health Programs, Dr. Chosewood promotes the protection, preservation, and improvement of the health and well-being of workers everywhere. He will introduce attendees to the essential elements of successful worksite health and well-being programs that create maximal health impact.

“We are delighted to have Dr. Chosewood, a noted leader in the occupational health community, educate our attendees on the NIOSH Total Worker Health Program and the critical elements of effective worker health and wellbeing programs,” said Mark Wallace, president of Medgate. “Medgate’s advanced OH&S software products are built to help organizations proactively manage employee health, so this topic could not be more relevant to our customers.”

The Medgate conference, which will be in Atlanta in February 2012, centers on helping organizations streamline the management of occupational health and safety data to gain effective business intelligence and inform decision-making on employee health, safety, and productivity. Promoting worker health and wellbeing has become increasingly imperative within the occupational health community as organizations look to pro-actively promote worker engagement and increase productivity in a lean economy.

The approximately 200 attendees to Medgate’s annual conference are Occupational Health, Safety and Environment professionals and decision-makers coming from large, multi-national, or global organizations from across a variety of industries. In Atlanta, attendees will partake in learning and education sessions surrounding the use of Medgate’s occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, and ergonomics software suites.

They will also share best practices in occupational health and safety and benefit from various networking opportunities.
