SanAir
Technologies
Laboratory
has
announced
a
major
expansion
of
its
national
industrial
hygiene
testing
program
through
its
recent
accreditation
for
lead
testing
by
the
American
Industrial
Hygiene
Association.
“Following
several
months
of
review
by
outside
experts
and
extensive
onsite
visitations,
our
newest
accreditation
will
enable
us
to
expand
our
expertise
in
environmental
testing
considerably,”
said
SanAir
President
Sean
McGlynn.
“Since
our
founding
in
2003,
we
have
attained
national
recognition
for
our
work
in
identifying
and
isolating
fungi
and
other
potentially
dangerous
pathogens
in
public
venues
such
as
shopping
malls,
hospitals
and
schools.
“Now
with
AIHA’s
coveted
Laboratory
Accreditation
Program
in
lead,
we
will
be
able
to
expand
into
additional
venues,
especially
among
industrial
concerns.”
The
AIHA
is
an
association
for
occupational
and
environmental
health
and
safety
professionals.
Its
10,460
members
play
a
crucial
role
on
the
front
line
of
worker
health
and
safety.
Members
represent
a
cross-section
of
industry,
private
business,
labor,
government
and
academia.
Also,
SanAir
recently
announced
an
expansion
of
its
facilities
at
Oakbridge
to
accommodate
business
growth.
Since
its
founding,
the
company
has
grown
to
be a
full-service
national
laboratory
offering
analytical
and
consulting
services
specialized
in
asbestos,
bacterial
detection
and
identification,
environmental
microbiology,
Legionella,
and
materials
testing.
SanAir
is
based
in
Oakbridge
Industrial
Park
in
Powhatan
County,
Virginia
near
the
new
Watkins
Center
development,
a
major
component
in
Richmond’s
rapid
multi-use
business
growth.
